Noticing that there are many new borns in our (senior/laujiao) club, just thought this might be a topic of interest for many and those with experience and knowledge please feel free to contribute
I've learnt from a documentary that a child's brain development is crucial at a very young age, when the neurons start to connect. And if the window of time is missed, then the connection is lost forever.
Found something similar online:
"Research studies consistently find that the first three years of life are critical to the emotional and intellectual development of a child. During these early years, 75 percent of brain growth is completed.
The effects of this emotional and intellectual development will not be seen, in many cases, until your child reaches the third or fourth grade. "

Hi Chin Soong,
I see you've started your preparations.
As for myself, I haven't the vaguest idea about child development!

Hi Justin, not really. I just happened to came across a documentary on tv about children's brain development some time back. Just did a quick online search out of curiosity
Strangely, it's the two of us who aren't parents yet are chatting about this. May be the rest of them are busy playing with their babies _________________ Zhengsong (钲淞)
